In culmination of the observance of the 18 -day Campaign to End VAW, SDO Tayabas City conducted Orientation on Anti -Violence Against Women and their Children for SDO Personnel and Stakeholders at the 4th Floor of the SDO Building.SDO personnel and school based administrative officers and Project Development Officers attended the orientation. Jesusa Susana Zafranco, Social Worker III, from LGU Tayabas City led the discussion particularly of Republic Act 9262 and other relevant points regarding anti -violence against women and children. The orientation aimed to raise awareness about the various forms and impact of VAW within the community and in public spaces and to encourage individuals, communities and government to work together to create a comprehensive response to VAW with strong focus on prevention. During the orientation, SDS Celedonio B. Balderas Jr., stressed the symbolism of orange as the color worn during the observance of the campaign. ASDS Herbert D. Perez also stressed that prevention against violence is everybody’s responsibility. At the end of the orientation, the participants committed to end violence against women and their children in the community and other contexts.
