“Aguyod Tayabas Para sa Inklusibong Edukasyon, Ngayon Na!” The Tayabas City Division, under the leadership of SDS Celedonio B. Balderas Jr., successfully conducted the division orientation on the provisions of Republic Act 11650, or an Act Instituting a Policy of Inclusion and Services for Learners with Disabilities in Support of Inclusive Education, at M.I. Sevilla's Resort & Hotel, Lucena City. 36 school administrators, 22 SNED teachers, 36 school SNED coordinators, and 13 teachers and school heads from the city's public and private schools are the participants of the division activity. The orientation took place on December 5 and 6, 2024. The activity's goal was to educate the school community about RA 11650 and to carry out the main actions and activities created to support its implementation. The discussions centered on the key provisions of RA 11650. Expert facilitators led by Sir Edwin R. Rodriguez, CID Chief Education Supervisor, and Ma'am Mildred Z. Galleno, EPS in SNED, guided the participants through discussions on the essential features of RA 11650, including updates, issues, and concerns on the implementation of the SNED program and services in the division. Dr. Nelson M. Ravina, owner of Dr. Nelson Ravina, Educational Consultancy and Services discussed the modifications, adaptations, and accommodations for learners with disabilities. During last part of the activity, Sir Ronan R. Ranillo, School Principal II led the participants through a collaborative workshop and discussion, fostering a deeper understanding of creating an equitable learning environment for students with diverse needs through the development of key actions and activities for the implementation of RA 11650 in school. Mrs. Generosa Zubieta, LRMDS Supervisor, and other Education Program Supervisors, Education Program Specialists, and members of the program management team all contributed significantly to the training's smooth flow and success. This initiative underscores Tayabas City Division’s dedication to promoting inclusive education and empowering school heads and teachers to make a lasting impact on their learners. By hosting such workshops, the division strengthens its resolve to nurture a more inclusive and compassionate educational system, ensuring every learner receives quality education tailored to their unique needs. Meanwhile, Sir Edwin Rodriguez, CID Chief, challenged the participants to open their hearts, quoting, "Miracles happen when programs and services are done with great heart." Participants expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills as implementers of inclusive education and pledged their commitment to implementing their crafted key action plans and activities in their schools.
